Thumb Sucker
Davis and I went to our 20 week appointment Friday to check on little Davis.
All is well in the womb, he is just the right size, is in the right place, and is getting bigger by the day. Also, like his mom, he seems to be sucking his thumb. I remember people asking me when I was little why I sucked my thumb so much and occasionally I would tell them "because it tastes like cherry pie. that's why..."
Also, yesterday, my heroes (Nikki, my mom and Davis) repainted the baby room from floor across the ceiling. The ceiling is a nice white and the walls are a really great modern ice blue. I will post pictures- but in the meantime- the blue in this picture is very similar- though mine has a little more gray in it. Anyway- it looks fabulous and made everything seem more real! It's getting exciting!

Edible Arrangement
Davis sent me an edible arrangement yesterday at work. And I was beaming from ear to ear. It sounds really dorky, but I've wanted an edible arrangement since they came around a few years ago. I have even secretly thought to myself "Maybe someone will send me an edible arrangement when I have little Davis- instead of real flowers."
I guess I just think fruit in the shape of flowers is really fun and special and apparently so do a lot of other people at work. I was walking down the hall and probably 3 or 4 people stopped me to ask about the bouquet of pineapple daisies with canteloupe buttons and chocolate covered strawberries. Then I happened by a conference room where some of my girlfriends were having a meeting. I held the arrangement up like a trophy and then brought them each a chocolate covered strawberry. What a day...
Davis is the best.

Hi, I'm Mango...
So I'm 19 weeks, and at this point, little Davis is about the size of a mango (crown-to-rump length is 5.2 to 6 inches). He weighs approximately 7 ounces and will increase his weight more than 15 times between now and birth- which is crazy to think about.
While the mango reference helps, I like this visual better:
My friend, Courtney, was telling me a funny story about how she likes to picture babies (in womb) with a little bed, a bedside table and an alarm clock. At night, she pictures the baby hopping in bed with a little book called "What to expect when you're being expected." That is now how I also picture little Davis- priceless.

4 Years
Davis and I have been married 4 years, today. And really, it seems like just yesterday that we walked in to the beautiful, chandelier-lit white tent at our reception with "Black Betty" (by Ram Jam- Davis worked the DJ on this one) pumping in the background. That was an amazing day- I would do it over in a heart beat- and it makes me happy to say that the last four years have NOT paled in comparison.
4 years and counting!
Better pics to come- this is the only one I could find on my computer.

To Look Forward To...
Katie just posted new pictures of Brayden- these are my favorite because 1) He looks so cute in those Osh Kosh overalls and 2) he is so proud of himself for figuring out how to pull himself up in his crib. A big high five goes out to you, Brayden.
It's so fun to think about the fact that this time next year, our little guy will be about the same size.
